CARE OF SUCTION MACHINE
1. Wear clean gloves before handling
the jars
2. Add sufficient quantity of sodium
hypochlorite solution to decontaminate the contents
3. Disconnect the tubes, immerse •
fully in the sodium hypochloride solution for 10
4. Flush the tubing in soapy water and
rinse in plain water jet or stream
5. Wash the jars with detergent or
liquid soap and rinse thoroughly
6. Keep jars inverted at a dry, safe
place to remove residual water completely
7. Empty the contents of glass jars
into sewage and flush with plain water
8. Dry and wrap the jars
9. Ensure intact wiring of the
electronic cord with proper earthing
10. Wipe the cord with a piece of clean
dry cloth daily
11. Use oil/ grease for wheels
12. Wipe the body, handle and glass
cover of the pressure gauze with disinfectants
13. Change the jar and tubing when a
client requires suction for more than 24 hours
CARE OF INSTRUMENTS USING

Detach the camera from the scope
·
Remove obturator from the scope, keeping
it in a piece of dry clean cloth to clean the scope properly
·
Wipe the fiber optic using a gauze pad
soaked in 2% glutaraldehyde to disinfect
Hang the scope and obturator in the cupboard or
