"What are you Doing??" in kannada language

English sentence: What are you doing??
Kannada translation: En madtha iddhira?? or Enu Maadutthiddheera??

This is one of the most used kannada sentences normally used when we meet new friends and in chatting to friends to know what they are doing at that time.

What-Enu/Yenu
Are you-(this both translation wont be used in kannada in regular speaking kannada dailogues)
Doing- Madthiddhira


In rare cases when we use it to friends who meets after long time this sentence refers to "What work you are doing?" or "In what profession you are?'
En madtha iddhiya?? Is the singular form which is commonly used among the friends, where En madtha iddhira? is used to more than two people or Elder/Respectable persons.
Other persons answers this by saying what they are presently doing.
I am on duty- Nanu kelasadalliddene.
I am studying- Nanu odhutthiddhene.
I am getting ready- Naanu thayaragutthiddhene.
